Brothers’ Cellar was founded in 2015 with the vision of transforming a family tradition into a business and bringing greater recognition to Bolnisian winemaking. This was the year the brothers began restoring the Qvevri tradition; their first bottled wines were Rkatsiteli, Tavkveri, and Saperavi.
The winery’s name was not chosen by chance—it reflects the unity of the brothers and their shared love for their craft. It was this very unity and commitment to quality that made the registration of “Bolnisi” as a Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) possible, significantly advancing the production of premium wines in the region.
Today, the cellar produces Rkatsiteli, Saperavi, Tavkveri, Chinuri, Asuretuli Shavi, and Shavkapito, while also creating experimental wines nearly every year. The winemaking techniques are diverse, ranging from traditional Qvevri to European styles and the distinct “Swabian” technology unique to Bolnisi, the promotion of which remains a key future goal.
The cellar produces approximately 10,000 bottles annually. Grapes are sourced from various terroirs, ensuring a diverse character in the wines, with specific vineyard selections made through long-term partnerships with trusted winegrowers.
Our future goals remain ambitious: to craft high-quality, distinctive Bolnisian wines, expand exports, and promote the Bolnisi terroir on a global scale.
